Description of a joint-stock company

The capital stock of the joint-stock company is divided among a certain number of shares with the stated nominal value. A share is a piece of securities which enables the shareholder (partner) to participate in the management of the company, in its profit or liquidation balance.

The minimum capital stock is 2,000,000 CZK (for selected types of companies – e.g. banks – it can be higher).

The bodies of the companies are the General Meeting, Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board.
